Michael Thornton's excellent image of the energetic Walkers on Walk A on Saturday, 9th April 2011 .
Sincere thanks to one of the dedicated Organisers, Michael Thornton, for a splendid selection of images which he captured so well as he acted as “Sweeper” (the Guide who keeps to the rear of the Walking Group) on the most challenging of the three walks (Walk A) on both the Saturday and the Sunday. Here we share images from the Saturday which route was really a figure of eight that firstly ascended Clara Mountain followed by Bealach, Gneeves (with a refreshment break almost overlooking Cumatroosh Lake and Waterfall), Adrivale (I feel a real identify with Adrivale as it was here my late mother, Mary Ellen Radley (nee O’Leary), lived until she married Johnny Radley in Millstreet town), Curracahill returning to complete the Clara Loop and back to Millstreet town.
