Millstreet Celtic beat Leeview 4-0

Millstreet Celtic beat Leeview 4-0 this morning to move within a point of the top at Pfizer Park this morning. Straight from the kickoff we put them under pressure through Chris Cleary and he set up Michael Murphy who forced a good save from the keeper. We kept the pressure on and took the lead after 10 mins. Barry Lawlor picked the ball up in midfield and played a lovely ball through for John Lehane who slotted the ball neatly beyond the keeper. 15 mins later we were 2-0 up. Good work from Murphy on the end line saw him get free and he played the ball in to Donal O Riordan to blast home from close range. Leeview had a couple of half chances but we were well worth our half time lead. In the 2nd half they tried to push on a bit more but we were looking very dangerous on the break and got the 3rd after 60 mins. Lawlor got free in the left of the box and squared it for Cleary to fire home. We kept the tempo up and had a couple of more good chances through John O Mahony and Murphy before we got the 4th with 10 mins to go. Good interplay down the left by Cleary and Jer Keating saw Cleary get into space in the box. He cut the ball back for Keating who used all of his experience to let the ball run for Lawlor to fire home from 18 yards. Best for us on the day were Barry Lawlor, Michael Murphy and Chris Cleary.
