RedFM Profile Áine Collins

Áine Collins is profiled on Cork’s RedFM 104-106Fm under Meet the Candidates.

Aine brings a distinctive voice in her quest to take a second seat for Fine Gael in Cork North-West. Married to Paul, they have three children and live in Laught, Rathcoole — about four miles from Millstreet. Aine is a qualified accountant and auditor with 20 years experience in business development and management consultancy having run her own practice and worked with start up and established companies. As co-founder of CUBE Business Consultancy, based in Millstreet, her focus is on providing advice and strategic planning to SME’s seeking to sustain and grow their businesses. She is one of the founding members of Millstreet Development Association and is also a member of Millstreet Community Council.

As a result of her work with SME’s, Aine believes that indigenous businesses have a huge contribution to make in Ireland’s future economic growth providing much needed employment. Coming from a farming background, Aine is convinced that agriculture enterprises-for example the Artisan Irish Food Industry-have a vital part to play in our economic recovery both at home and abroad. Her experience with community organisations, has assured her that great things can be achieved where communities work together for their socio‑economic well-being.

At a time when the gender imbalance in the Dail is becoming more pronounced, it is refreshing that a young, vibrant woman such as Aine Collins is willing to stand for election and she is seeking your support.

Some very good reasons why you should give your No 1 Vote to Aine:

  • Aine brings a new enthusiasm and vigour to Politics- she is not encumbered by tradition or stale thinking.
  • She has the qualifications and experience that are necessary for her to make a meaning full contribution to “kick starting” the economy. Her knowledge of the small business sector and small enterprises makes her ideally suited to represent your community.
  • She is a family person with three Children and knows full well the problems that every family is currently experiencing.
  • She is a New Candidate with a New Vision for a New Era and is worthy of your No 1 Vote.

Aine fully appreciates that this is a very difficult election for many people; with incomes cut drastically in the past 3 years, jobs for your young people being non existence and many families under severe financial pressure as a consequence of the total mismanagement of our economy by Fianna Fail over the past 10 years.

That’s another reason why we need new thinking and a fresh approach to politics so please support Aine by giving her your No. 1 vote on February 25th and continue your preferences for Derry Canty and Michael Creed.
