Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on this cold and frosty Tuesday morning.

The Feast of the Presentation was celebrated over the weekend, and  in it’s honour a special Mass was concelebrated in our Church on Friday with all the pupils, teachers and staff of our Presentation National school attending. The Children performed a lovely pageant depicting the life of the Foundress of the Presentation Order, Nano Nagle, and their music and singing filled the air with lovely sounds. Sean Radley was there to film it and I will be screened on LTV2 in the near future.

All  during  last week our shops had offers galore for our special Shopping Week, with many people taking advantage of the occasion to stock up on certain items.  Next up will be the Christmas Art Fair which will be held in the GAA Hall from December 3 to 5th.

Women’s Health and Well Being Information Evening will be held at the James O’Keeffe Institute, Newmarket on tomorrow Wednesday Evening, starting at 8pm.

There’s a Craft Fair coming up at the James O’Keeffe Institute in Newmarket on this weekend   November 27th & 28th from 12 noon to 6.

Millstreet adult Gym opened under new management, open 6 days a week  from 9am to 12 noon and from 6 to 10 pm Contact James 087 – 923 97 54.

IRD Equality Group will host a Multicultural Christmas Event at  our GAA Hall on Monday December 6th, from 6 to 8pm. Admission is free, and festive refreshments will be served  and all are welcome.

Castlemagner Drama Group will stage their production of Big Maggie again this weekend on Friday and Saturday November 26/27th at the Glen Theatre. For details ring 029 56239.

And Friday December 10th will see the annual return of the very popular Johnnie McAvoy in concert.

Flower arranging and Christmas wreaths demonstration at the Glen Theatre to-night and on Tuesday night of next week. starting at 8.30 .light refreshments served.

Our heartiest best wishes for many years of happy retirement go to reporter supreme Mr. Ray Ryan of Mallow. Many Thanks Ray for all your years of promoting rural Ireland.

Many congratulations to Desmond Casey who finished 4th in the County Serior Cross Country Championships which were held at Cloyne recently.

In Scor na nOg which was held in Kanturk our Ballad Group  and Killian Linehan, Solo Music, won through to the County Semi Final to be held in Dromtarriffe on December 3rd.

Many congratulations to the  anonymous, local person who won €250,000 in the  National lottery on a ticket purchased at Super Valu Millstreet  last week.

Public Meeting at the Parish Centre to-night to plan a suitable party for Sean Radley. Starts at 8.30. please support it well.

He was honoured  by the INTO at a pleasant function which was held in Killarney during the week.

Cullen young at Heart Party Friday December 3rd, starting with Mass at 6.30 all welcome, help would be appreciated.

Cadbury Ireland will host a monster Table Quiz at Flemings Bar in Cullen on Friday December 10th in aid of Cullen & District Special Needs Association. Starts at 8.30.

Special Needs Association Christmas Party  on Saturday December 11th.

The AGM of the Millstreet Housing Association will be held on Tuesday November 30th at 7.30.

And, there’s a house available for renting at the Canon O Donovan Centre. For details ring 029 70926.

There’s a host of things coming up in Aubane.

Set dancing in Aubane every Monday night. On Thursday December 1st they will host an Aloe Vera night starting at 8pm.

From now on they will have fun card games on Thursday nights.

And their Christmas Day Climb of Mushera Mountain starting out at 10.

Knitting club continues every Tuesday night at the Adult Learning Centre in the Main Street. From 7 to 9.

And Painting with Bertie also on Tuesday nights at the GAA Hall from 7.30.

Bingo  at the GAA Hall on Thursday nights.

We have people asking for other people to play Scrabble.

There’s a new play group starting up beside the Youth Centre after Christmas will the person who gave me that item please contact me again.

The annual 45Drive in aid of Millstreet Community Hospital will be held at the Green Glens on Wednesday December 8th.

Every good wish to AnnMarie Riordan with the launch of her latest CD which will be held at the Killarney Heights Hotel on Tuesday November 30th will a full supporting team of musicians and players.

Watch out for program 169 of LTV2 this Thursday night at ten and the repeat on Sunday at 8. LTV1 Macroom is on Wednesday nights at 9.30 and the repeat on Sundays at 6.30 plus a program with a religious theme on Sundays at 5pm.
