Shannon Cruise – Part One

Beautiful Killaloe Harbour from where we began our River Shannon Cruise

We invite you to join us for Part One of a recent  Darren Kealy’s Coaches day tour to the River Shannon and beyond.  Here we share images of our arrival at Ballina, Co. Tipperary where some 51 people enjoyed a very warm welcome at the Lakeside Hotel from Manager, Eoin Little and his very friendly Staff who served delicious scones with coffee and tea.   With William Fitzgerald as Driver of our coach and Charlie Drake as a very helpful Guide/Co-ordinator we then proceeded to the nearby very scenic Killaloe Harbour, Co. Clare where

we met James of the “Spirit of Killaloe” Boating Fleet who gave us such a splendid insight into what we were about to experience on our two hour Shannon river cruise.   With a mixture of weather we all found the trip hugely uplifting and wonderfully enjoyable.  Lots of interesting information on this truly beautiful part of Ireland may be viewed on  www.discoverkillaloe.com .  Part Two of our Tour Day will continue in a few days. 1. Hi James,
Thank you so much for your truly royal welcome for us all on 29th August 2010 in Killaloe as you so superbly co-ordinated the brilliant Shannon Cruise on one of your famous fleet “The Spirit of Killaloe”. Everyone was enchanted with the trip and when our viewers on LTV2 will view our special feature I feel certain many more will want to experience the fascinating Cruise. We’ve lots more pics. yet to feature on our website. To All in Ballina/Killaloe … and especially Aoife who was so helpful as was boat driver, Adam – very best wishes until we meet again and may ever-increasing numbers enjoy the Killaloe Experience….Seán & All who travelled on Kealys’ Coach with us on that historic day.
