The 2010 Cork City Marathon was run a week ago on the June Bank Holiday (Monday 7th June). It was a terrible day with all the runners drowned to the skin, but spirits were high regardless. There were a few Millstreet runners who took part mostly in the relay. These were:
- #512 Joanne Carroll 03:45:48
- #3660 Road Runners (Mixed team) 03:42:55 (Humphery Hickey, Aoife O’Connell & Maeve Neenan)
- #3902 The Jolly Joggers (Mixed team) 04:14:40 – included Mairead O’Connell
- #3482 Millstreet Tae kwon-do Mixed Team 05:04:01 – (They were raising money to send some of their team to the world championships)
- #4096 Runners Loft @ Maher (All male Team) 02:29:03 – included Tony Kelleher (formerly from Minor Row)
- There were a few more locals running, but I’m unsure of the team names they ran under.
