Fondest greetings dear listeners and I wish you all the very best on the second Tuesday of February.

The Monthly Meeting of the Community Council will be held at the Youth Centre tonight starting at 8.30. All members please attend. The Community Council Awards Social will be held at the Wallis Arms Hotel on Friday March 12th.

A note here from our clergy to say a million thanks to all those who supported their recent church door collection in aid of Haiti which amounted to just under €8,000. The money will be forwarded to Trócaire, without delay.

And don’t forget to support 15year old Adam Buiche who will have his long hair shaved off at the Youth Centre this Thursday, in aid of local Charities. Sponsorship cards are being passed around.

The parents of Baby Jacob want to thank all those who are supporting the various fundraisers in aid of the little boy who was born without eyes. And to let you know that he will be returning to Germany in April to continue the treatment that his so vital to his future.

Weekly Story-telling at our Library this Saturday from 11 to 12,  followed by Book Club with Kathleen Moynihan from 12 to 1.pm.

The Muskerry Vintage and Veteran Car Club will hold their 17th annual Dinner Dance at the Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney on Saturday February 20th . Music by the Threshing Mill Boys.

On Easter Sunday which is on April 4th a monster Vintage Rally will be held at the Green Glens Arena. Proceeds to our Church Restoration Fund. Please keep that date free.

Mass in Millstreet Church every morning at ten, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday evening at 7pm followed by Mass at 7.30.

Our Knitting Club which had its first meeting on Thursday night last week was very well attended. More of the same this Thursday night at the Adult Learning Centre, Main St, from 7 to 9 all welcome.

The latest from Cullen’s weekly Weigh In. 84 attended last nights meeting and 238 pounds weight were lost. So they are off to a great start and there’s room for more.

Rathmore’s Panto, ”Snow White and the Seven BIG Dwarfs”, opens with a matinee on St. Valentine’s Day. Sunday February 14th.

A notice from the ESB to say that due to necessary repair work, electricity supply will be cut in the area of Geararoe from 9 am to 3pm this coming Wednesday, and Tullig on Monday next.

Here are the results of this weeks parish lotto draw which was held at the Bush Bar on Sunday night. Numbers drawn were, 3, 9, 12, 18 and the lucky winner of our Jackpot of €2,800 was Bernadette Cotter, Murphy’s Terrace. The Seller was Denis Hickey and he got €280 sellers prize. €20 each went to the following ten people. Millstreeet GAA Community Hall hosts a semi final to the Duhallow Scór na nOg on Sunday with proceedings underway at 2.30pm (??? not sure if this is correct ???)
The Cork County Senior Scór semi finals take place in Clondrohid on this Friday night at 8pm.
